2008 Archive. Here is how we left it after the season when the David's,
Archuletta and the winner, Cook, battled to the bitter end. We
predicted much right about the season, but did not see Cook's talent early
enough to see where it would end up. You will the Yoohaaa favorite
throughout. Long Live the career of Brooke White.
An ALL DAVID FINAL
1-Brooke White-Finished
Fifth and spiraled downward at some point due to a lack of confidence I
think. I will see her anywhere in concert she wants to
perform. The Best to come out of this crop no matter where she
finishes.
2-David Archuletta-Well he has not missed a note
since he started...well ONE ..but we will forgive him that. Even
though he is 2nd here and Cook is 7th here...I STILL think what I was
trying to say when I ranked Archuletta 2nd at the start was that he
WOULD make it to the finals, (which he has) and WONT WIN.
3-Jason Castro- Finished Fourth If they
ever ever ever legalize pot, he will be the first spokesman.
4-Carly Smithson-Carly goes out in the week
probably Brooke should have when she forgot the lyric. She went
out strong ..as they all will from here on out.
5-Michael Johns-Finished 8th
6-Amanda Overmeyer-Rockin Nurse finished 11th
7-David Cook-His abillity to outshine Daughtry on
this program has been the most pleasant surprise, perhaps EVER on
American Idol..what charisma and will win on the final night against the
other david.
8-Syesha- Is unbelievable that she finished 3rd.
9-David Hernandez-Finished 12th
10-Ramiele -Finished 9th.
11-Chikezie Eze-finished 10th
12-Kristy Lee Cook-finished 7th. Might be a country star someday, Might not leave with enough dignity to
sustain a Holiday Inn Lounge career after the tour.
Very Very Very Cool American Idol Attraction being put in by Disney,
which is a FOX competitor which makes it very strange indeed.

Very Cool Quote From Amanda, who told reality tv magazine that she was not
necessarily trying to WIN American Idol.
When asked about the judges’ constant bickering,
Amanda Overmyer reiterated her earlier statement.
Amanda said, “As far as the judges bickering and all
that, like I said before, their comments are based on
excelling within the competition, and that wasn’t really
my objective.” Amanda went on to express that she
wasn’t affected by the bickering. Amanda explained, “I
mean that doesn’t bother me, that’s just part of good
TV. If they didn’t do that no one would want to watch
it.”

said, “Well, up until this point, it was just to get my

Danny, the queenie one, not that there is anything wrong with that,

very candid interview here. "I think your personal life and your job are two
separate things. People should respect that and know that there is a
fine line between that. Privacy is really important. I know a lot of

The producers of 'American Idol' have teamed up with CMT for a new reality
competition show called 'Can You Duet.'
Hollywood Rounds are Feb 12th and 13th ...and the list of whom is believed to be
on those episodes is listed below. Carly Hennessy, a former MCA recording artist
?? is rumored to be one of the top 50 ..if not into the top 24. Here is

Idol Gives Back is scheduled for April 9th.
There was a charisma and niche of performance level
for Taylor Hicks, who electrified fans with his voice, moves, harmonica
playing, and enthusiasm. But calling him an American Idol was risky, as
Ryan Seacrest pronounced however, America Voted and Soul Patrol
prevailed. After only one CD release and dismal 700,000 sales, J
Records has dropped Hicks from their roster.
The rumor is tha R. Kelly is dating a former
American Idol finalist. Kelly and
Trenyce Cobbins, have been friendly
for quite some time and are just now making
this public.
Anyone who does any job for anybody, no matter how successful is replaceable
...PERIOD. So it is the rumor mill rolls with the possibility that
Paula Abdul may be replaced if she continues with the bizarre behavior that pops
up here and there all the time concerning her. It's just annoying to the
producers. WHO may get the gig if Paula goes down? Mariah Carey,
Janet Jackson, and Cyndi Lauper are in the rumor mill.... and I like the
possibility of Ozzy Osbornes wife Sharon Osbourne getting the gig.
Hope it's ok to interject a little personal opinion ... Paris Bennett
...Princess P , should be a star by now. I think its great that
Daughtry had such a HUGE year with more to come... I DO understand why Taylor
didn't light up the pop world , but I am not understanding Paris Bennett not
being giving a hard look see by everyone in the music industry. The debut
album, (on a FAMILY label..not good) peaked no higher than 133 on the charts.
Hate to see THAT much talent wasted. Just IMHO.

Latest Rumors have been denied by Idol Producers that Brittany Spears would
possibly be on the show. In fact, the contrary is true, and its even right
to say that she has been banished by the show. The other rumor is that
Paul McCartney might have appeared this season...that is now not going to happen
according to producers.
Fox TV has a moderately well liked show called BONES.
Two American Idol contestants from the years gone by have been cast in
an upcoming episode. Ace Young and Brandon Rogers will guest star
on the show. Fox will also make sure that it's ringinng in of the New

Reports are coming out of the Hollywood round, which
recently wrapped, and the judges, Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell and Paula
Abdul say the talent is tremendous.
Abdul said, "We were saying, 'No.' to people that would normally
otherwise be put through," "We have had so many stand-out superstars
now. I am so excited about this season. It's equal guys to girls. It's
anyone's game. Simon Cowell cannot predict the winner this season."
"Season 7 is off with a bang dude. I'm telling you, the talent is
unbelievable. It's crazy dude! I can't even believe it myself," Jackson
told Extra. "I think it's the best we've ever had. People say,
'Aw! You say that every season!' But I've got to literally tell you it
is so good... We found talent I didn't ever think we'd found with this
show and we found some things that really epitomizes what the show is
really, really about."
More quotes to Extra from Jackson. "I can't imagine us not having an
unbelievable Top 10, Top 12 this year," Jackson told Extra. "All of them
are just amazing in their own right, and different."

Fox has been running promos that state the new season will start on
January 15th.
